About me
Born in 1967, Debashis Neogi holds a Master’s in Management Science along with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Debashis started his career in 1988 as an Assistant Manager, Testing, in Bajaj Auto India Limited. Till 2008, he has worked with several automotive leaders in India like Bajaj Auto, Ford New Holland Tractors, Tata Cummins and General Motors.
In General Motors, he has been involved in the launch of MPV car, starting from concept stage working in Japan until launch of the car in Indian market.
He joined RNTBCI in 2008 as a General Manager in Powertrain & Field Quality division. During his tenure, he developed the famous K Series Diesel engine, J series Gearboxes locally. He also lead the launch team which was responsible for the launch of Renault Duster in India. Under his leadership, Centre of Competencies in Embedded Software and simulations, was developed in RNTBCI.
After being associated for a strong 9 years at RNTBCI , Debashis moved to Romania. He served as Director, Powertrain Engineering at Renault Technical Centre, in Romania till July 2021. During his tenure in Romania, he got associated in three new emission regulations in four years (Euro 6C, Euro 6DT and Euro 6DF). He also got involved in launch of new Duster in Europe and new CMF-B platform cars. Centre of Competencies on Electric Powertrain validation and Software HIL validation grew under his leadership.
